Rakuten's best-ever level: sign up through a member's referral link, spend $50 through the portal within 90 days, and both sides earn $50 (referrers on a points preference get 5,000 Amex or Bilt points instead). Widely reported to end June 30 — yet Rakuten's page still showed it July 7; this entry publishes whatever the official page shows on verification day. Non-referral signup pays only ~$10.
Requirements, precisely
- Sign up via a member's referral link (confirm the link shows the $50 offer before relying on it).
- Spend $50+ in qualifying purchases through the portal — online or in-store offers — within 90 days.
- Bonus shows in your earnings balance within days and pays with the quarterly cycle.
Fine print that matters
- Easiest clean completion per DoC/OMAAT: a $50 gift card via giftcards.com through the portal.
- Purchases must actually track cashback; returns, cancellations, and exchanges disqualify.
- Referral offers have been gated to select members at times — a $30 link earns $30, not $50.
- Bilt conversion: 1:1 through the May 2026 payout for everyone; after that, 1:1 requires Bilt Silver+ (2:1 otherwise).
- This bonus requires a referral link. Dealaka links the official program page and never inserts its own referral link — see Method.
Field reports
End-date ambiguity (open). DoC, Frequent Miler, OMAAT, TPG, and AwardWallet all reported a 6/30/26 end date — which has passed — while rakuten.com/referral still displayed the $50/$50 copy on 7/7/26. Either extended again or the page lags. Unresolved; verify before relying on the level.
Points option. Referrers with Amex MR or Bilt earning preference receive 5,000 points instead of cash; the new member's bonus pays cash regardless of preference (per TPG).
History. The $50 level is the best ever seen per DoC and Frequent Miler; the prior ceiling was $40.
