Chase pays a tiered cash bonus for opening a new J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing account and funding it with new money from another institution. The payout ranges from $50 for transfers of $5,000 to $150 for $25,000, $325 for $100,000, up to $1,000 for $250,000 or more, and requires keeping the funds in the account for 90 days.

How to get the Chase Self-Directed Investing bonus

1. Open a J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing account through the offer page by 10/21/2026.
2. Fund the account with qualifying new money from outside JPMorgan Chase within 45 days of opening.
3. Keep the new money in the account until 90 days from enrollment.
4. Receive the bonus added to your account within 15 days after meeting the requirements.

The fine print that matters

• Bonus tier is determined by the amount of qualifying new money added by day 45: $50 for $5,000-$24,999, $150 for $25,000-$99,999, $325 for $100,000-$249,999, and $1,000 for $250,000 or more.
• Qualifying new money must come from outside JPMorgan Chase and its affiliates.
• You can only get one bonus per year.
• Funds must be maintained in the account for 90 days from enrollment; market losses do not count against you.
• UTMA and trust accounts are not eligible for bonus offers.
• Opening an account from a different link on chase.com/investments makes you ineligible for this offer.
