Associated Bank pays up to $600 to new personal checking customers. You need to open an account, get at least $500 in direct deposits within 90 days, and your bonus tier depends on your average daily balance across deposit accounts during days 31-90, paid within 120 days.

1. Open a new Associated Bank personal checking account with the required minimum deposit.
2. Set up recurring direct deposits totaling $500 or more within 90 days of opening.

4. Receive your bonus within 120 days of account opening.
5. Keep the account open for at least 12 months to avoid a clawback.

The fine print that matters

• Bonus tiers are based on average daily balance for days 31-90: $1,000-$4,999.99 earns $300, $5,000-$9,999.99 earns $400, $10,000+ earns $600.
• Person-to-person payments and transfers from existing or external accounts do not qualify as direct deposits.
• Account must remain open for a minimum of 12 months or the bonus may be deducted before closing.
• Offer limited to one per customer and cannot be combined with other offers.
• Not available to customers who received a checking bonus in the last 24 months or had an Associated Bank checking account in the last 12 months.
• Online opening limited to residents of IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, OH and WI.
• Bonus may be reported to the IRS on Form 1099.
• Associated Bank colleagues are not eligible.
• Offer valid for accounts opened and funded through August 31, 2026.
