CEFCU Checking

CEFCU is offering up to $225 in savings credits for opening a new checking account. You earn $200 by meeting a balance, debit spend, or direct deposit requirement in the first month and signing up for eStatements, plus an extra $25 for using your debit card for qualifying purchases over the next three months.

Eligibility

How to get the CEFCU Checking bonus

1. Open a new, first-time checking account with a $25+ deposit by August 31.
2. Meet one requirement in the first full month: $5,000 individual/$10,000 household balance, 5+ debit purchases of $15+, or $500+ in direct deposits.
3. Sign up for eStatements before the end of that first month to receive the $200 credit.
4. Make 5 or more debit card purchases of $15+ each month for three months to earn the $25 credit.
5. Keep the account in good standing through the bonus fulfillment date.

The fine print that matters

• Must be at least 13 years old to qualify.
• Not available for transfers of existing CEFCU checking accounts or for members who previously had a CEFCU checking account.
• Limit of a combined total of $225 for personal checking account-related bonuses per member.
• The bonus is considered a taxable dividend and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT.
• A valid SSN/ITIN is required to qualify.
