How to get the Chase IHG One Rewards Traveler bonus

  1. Apply for the IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card.
  2. Spend $2,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.
  3. Wait 6 to 8 weeks after qualifying for the 80,000 bonus points to post.
  4. Optionally add an authorized user in the first 3 months to earn an extra 10,000 points.

The fine print that matters

  • Not available to current cardmembers of any personal IHG One Rewards credit card.
  • Not available to previous cardmembers who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.
  • Balance transfers, cash advances, and cash-like transactions do not count toward the $2,000 spend requirement.
  • Account must be open and not in default at time of fulfillment.
  • Annual fee is $0.
  • 10,000 bonus points for adding an authorized user is awarded only once regardless of how many users are added.
